NATO deploys more missiles in Europe and organizes a huge military exercise. Soviet submarines penetrate Swedish and Finnish territorial waters. Sweden raises its readiness in the north and Norway builds bunkers. Finland strengthens its air force and surveillance of Lapland. A Soviet missile strays into Finland. In the end, the outbreak of nuclear war was only a push away.
