lol, yes that info is bogus, look at the date too, April 1st :) I can assure you we are not affiliated with IMDB in any kind of way.

haha, I didn't think of that. U may be on to something there... still seems a bit fraud-y to me that they can post that

just going by what's on the inter web... are they lying?

On your profile (I guess you're not the Venezuelan Footballer) you mention knowing David and Jan really well... would that be the Jan Peeters listed on the company sheets... well if you are saying this now maybe you just didn't know about it... I'm guessing that acquisition came with some kind of windfall... and that was back in 2017. and you've been one of their 'Head' contributors since then... and you didn't know?

Do you think... no... they wouldn't.. not David and Jan...  hmmm the plot thickens... let me know how the story goes.

p.s. They sent me a little note at Christmas:
========================================

TVmaze, thanks to you

A small note, and a big thank you from Jan & David - Every year, many people drop in, check one episode, and vanish. And then there are the others. The ones who keep lists. Who track premieres. Who know which shows are “on a break” and which are never coming back. TVmaze was built for you.

Eleven years later, it’s still the same idea: a TV tracking platform that treats fans like people, not ad impressions. Independent, clean, and powered by a community that actually cares. Quick version: 50% off Premium with code BF-2025, valid until the end of 2025.

A word from Jan & David

"When we started TVmaze, the goal wasn't to build the biggest site. It was to build the place we wished already existed, somewhere friendly, accurate, and calm in the middle of TV chaos."Jan

"What keeps us going isn't traffic graphs, it's the messages from people who use TVmaze every day. If the site makes it easier for you to enjoy the shows you love, then we're doing our job."David
=======================================

Maybe you're right, there's no mention of IMDb ANYWHERE... strange... and there's no way to contact the admin team, no email address unless you post it on a public forum... so if you have an issue that needs to be discussed privately... well, I couldn't find a way.

Having just spent over an hour reading 90% 1/10 reviews on IMDB (Owner of THIS site) you'd probably think I'd be convinced to think the same... well... You'd be wrong. and... If you read any of my previous reviews on a couple of episodes of the more recent series, you may think I'm focussing more on 'controversial/sensitive issues, rather than the big picture' and giving up on it all. Guilty in a snapshot... but I'm sure we're all capable of blips. Luckily, the fog is clearing and we're back on track.

I'm a lifelong trekkie... from an older generation, and even from my timeline, I pride myself on having a lot of patience, empathy and a willingness to get to the bottom of 'what's really going on'... 'what's the real story'...  happily, for me anyway, I'm finally starting to get this one. The trick is to watch it for what it is, rather than comparing it to what came before, or your own expectations. I admit, that's what I was guilty of, and it was getting in the way. Preconceptions, pre-judging, shallow thinking... TL;DR's.

The characters are developing - What do you expect? ... teenagers are annoying and undisciplined for the most part. They aren't trained yet... we're 8 weeks in... give it a minute. They are covering 1 or 2 characters an episode to develop... for the first time... that's pretty generous airtime, but there's a lot of characters. No way to like them just on looks or snapshot drama. Wait till their episode... Who thought SAM was annoying till today? ... and now?

The story is moving along - again What do you expect? ... the bad reviews keep referring to nostalgia and referencing old episodes/series. This is the furthest into the future we have been. What else is there but to learn from the past. If you're smart. If you're teaching green recruits about values. These kids shouldn't be ready for a couple of years at least but they've already seen more action (probably way too much) - hence todays episode about PTSD. Can you imagine that being you - 8 weeks into a new job?

Give it a minute.

Just one thing, we are not owned or affiliated in any way with IMDB. :)

What I see is an uncontrolled ethical-emotional paranoia, presented in the form of a chorus, with theatrical therapy sessions and "random SAM holographic glitches." Also, let's be honest, it's doing wonders to justify Mary Wiseman's salary as Tilly. We are stuck in this endless prologue forever... while all the real action is hoarded for the final stretch. Frakes is going to have a hard job if he wants to convince us.
