The Greek Grave

The volcanic eruption of Thera on the island of Santorini approximately 3,500 years ago had cataclysmic effects seen across the globe. But it affected the nearby island Crete and the Minoan people living there so much that this center of wealth and trade in ancient Greece quickly deteriorated.
