"Going Dutch" Canceled at Fox After 2 Seasons

Fox has opted not to renew sophomore comedy series Going Dutch, starring Denis Leary, for a third season. This marks the network's first cancellation this season ahead of unveiling its 2026-27 lineup at the Fox upfront presentation next Monday, May 11.

The move is not surprising. Going Dutch was the one true bubble scripted series on Fox this season. Like fellow live-action Fox comedy Animal Control, starring Joel McHale, Going Dutch is fully owned by Fox Entertainment.

Animal Control, which has been renewed for a fifth season, is higher rated and has a licensing deal with Netflix in addition to international sales, which bring revenue to the network. Meanwhile, Going Dutch is the lowest-rated entertainment program at Fox. Leary is well liked internally, so a renewal was under consideration. Ultimately, the network decided not to proceed with a third season.
