"The Artful Dodger" Renewed for a Third and Final Season at Disney+ & Hulu

When it comes to Disney+ and Hulu's Oliver Twist sequel, it's a case of: Please sir, I want some more.

The Artful Dodger has been renewed for a third and final season, with Thomas Brodie-Sangster reprising his role as the thieving title character. David Thewlis will return to the Australian original as Fagin, while Maia Mitchell will again play Lady Belle Fox. Filming gets underway in Sydney in the coming months.

Set in 1850s Australia, 15 years after the events of Charles Dickens' Oliver Twist, The Artful Dodger has become the most-viewed Australian original title on Disney+, according to the Mouse House.

Kylie Watson-Wheeler, Disney Australia and New Zealand's SVP and managing director, said: "The renewal is a testament to the quality of this show, and everyone involved in making it."

Porter added: "We love that audiences have embraced the show's unique blend of adventure, humour and romance, and we are planning for this season to be even more ambitious, surprising and unpredictable."
