Danielle Michelle "Diem" Brown's Challenge debut was as the Fresh Meat drafted by Derrick Kosinski. She was a finalist on The Gauntlet III and Battle of the Exes. She also competed on Fresh Meat, The Duel, The Duel II, The Ruins, Rivals II, and Battle of the Exes II. Brown dated fellow Challenge castmember Chris "CT" Tamburello for over a year and a half after meeting on The Duel in 2006. After being diagnosed with ovarian cancer, Brown credited Tamburello for playing a role in her remission recovery and giving her confidence. Diem Brown's tragic death in 2014 shocked The Challenge fans around the world. Following her lengthy battle with cancer, the reality star passed away in a hospital in New York City at the age of 34. Tamburello, was by her side at the very end and shared some precious moments with Brown over the years.
