Yes and as I have said and either Thomas or Juan has said many times before, it was Jan that stated many, many months ago that if a good photo is not avaiable it must remain Blank until one is or if never then it remains Blank forever, how many times do we have to remind you that Jan said that is the rule before you understand that GAD? I don't agree with that decision either but a rule by the BIG Guy is a rule so be it, live with it it we must! No ifs, ands or butts!

Yes, I understand that Jan said what he said. I addressed that above.

Just as a note, the other problem is that the main show image is poster-only. I understand the reasons for that, but it eliminates a lot of suitable images.Group shots of the cast, for instance, are almost always banner since people normally stand left-to-right, rather than staircase up-and-down.

Banners are banners and posters are posters Gad. We use posters for our display, so banners are usually not suitable at all to use for our main image...

You can upload cast images, banners, behind the scenes and what not. just don't mark them as main image/poster.

If you don't find a suitable image leave it blank. Users are more likely to upload something if there is no image yet.
Furthermore, we have contributors who exclusively upload cast images and posters. They use the listings that only display cast, shows, characters without a main image. Adding low quality or incorrect images does more harm than good.

Oh come on Tom you know better than that? Submitting a photo of a person, host, co-host, presenter whoever they may be does not constitute that it be used as a show photo. You wouldn't have used it at Rage or allowed anyone us to either.

2 other images deleted and no communication. Really confused about this show as well. Thomas has incorrectly changed the name

http://www.tvmaze.com/shows/10340/lip-sync-battle and JDOG has added the US series logo. The image I had uploaded was the only image released, there was no issue with it, it fitted but again no communication and no explanation why the UK has been removed from the title. UK is in the shows title as the shows Facebook page states here https://www.facebook.com/lipsyncbattleuk/

It's the official image from the shows site, we did allow that at rage, because it's the official image used by the network to publicise the show!

If it's the image the network is using and the only image on the official show website, why would we not be using it?

Aside from it been used as the main image and the image used for every episode that has aired thus far? I'm assuming that at some point in the future David or Jan would want to be impressing the networks. One thing we constantly were praised for on Rage was using official network images

Their facebook page tells UK indeed, however according to channel 5, it is just called Lip Sync Battle and we do not differentiate nations (if not part of their official name) in our titles as it is already specified in the info section or behind the title. I thereby deleted the UK addition as it states in our FAQ.

On the other hand, I think I told you several times to leave it blank if there is no fitting photo. Channels may add photos, but that does not mean they are main photos and should therefore be added to our gallery as poster...., so if there is only one photo and it is not fitting, leave it blank... Some tc are dealing with this matter and it would be harder for them to spot if not blank.

With all do respect, but tvrage has been a complete mess when it becomes about photos. A clusterfuck. Lots of shows over there added wrong photos and when you submitted a correct one to change the incorrect one, it was most likely to be denied.....

I get that as well. But the whole point that's coming out of this conversation is a lack of communication about deleting photos, you've mentioned one on here, but three were deleted in all, that I've had to find myself.

They are all talking about the UK version Lip Sync Battle. Wiki, BBC news, Channel 5 with the title Lip Sync Battle. They just differentiated it on FB to make them sure that it is going to be the UK version, but it is not part of their official title.

If you are using http://www.channel5.com/shows/lip-sync-battle as a point of reference that's the American show which airs on Spike in the UK which is operated by Channel 5 in the UK.
