About ras44ecs
I hereby nominate Volodymyr Oleksandrovych Zelenskyy for "Man of the Century"! (Sorry Volodymyr. It looks like we'll be throwing you to the wolves soon 1/20/2025. I sincerely hope not.)
I am very mysterious. I don't even know who I am really. If I told you I'd have to kill myself! Actually, I am a former musician in the U.S. as well as former CEI agent #014 (a.k.a. Bob the Late Night Courier Guy). If you don't know what that is, I can't tell you. Again, I'd have to kill myself. I can tell you this... "I've been everywhere man"... well, not really but, I did get around a little.
I can also tell you this... I'm OLD. We got our first tv when I was 3 and I've never looked back. 2 channels, b&w, blurry, snowy, static. We've come a long way baby. Try standing on one foot holding a piece of tin foil attached to antenna wire as high as you can out the top of a window with heavy snow falling in -20°F. and 45 mph winds for almost half an hour so your family can watch Groucho Marx on "You Bet Your Life". I gotta tell ya', that's when men were men and the sheep ran scared.
But enough about me, let's talk about me. I am retired now so I can devote the time it deserves to watching everything ever transmitted over the airwaves. TVmaze is fantastic for keeping track of what I've seen and what I want to see. Thank you to all the technical geniuses that keep things like this going. With the availability of torrents, streams, s/w like Kodi and Exodus, internet channels, etc. it's incredible the variety of programming you can find. It's been terrific to "discover" old series I missed while working during the pre-VCR/DVR days. Especially enjoyable are the foreign offerings from the Brits, Scots, Danes, Swedes, Aussies, Canucks and a whole lot more. I applaud cop shows that can solve a crime without killing and dismembering half the cast (well, "The Tunnel" and "The Bridge" were still excellent.) and blowing up several vehicles and a couple of buildings. It is sad though to see we aren't the only country with prejudices and discrimination. It regrettably seems to be getting worse by the day across the planet. For shame!
It's especially great to be able to get all this content these days rather than watching the abysmal behavior of purportedly "civilized" people in the news and on "reality" shows. It's hard to imagine that humanity may have reached it's peak amidst the generations spawned in the wake of two World Wars. I put a lot of hope in the youth of today but, alas, with the proliferation of atrocious, grievous hate-mongers as role models they will need extraordinary strength and courage to even attempt to right the ever increasing wrongs enveloping the world's societies. My thoughts and prayers are with future generations. Okay, I'm cautiously pessimistic... so sue me! Hey, it's the 'merican way.
I know, not a bio. Mostly an op/ed piece. I am a Patriots fan and NO! Deflategate (daFraudgate) was NOT real! FUNFL! Yes, the WhoDats got robbed! (2019)
If I think of anything interesting to add (doubtful) or feel a rant coming on (likely) I'll come back and embellish a little (maybe).
Bob on the couch (a.k.a. Bob, the former Late Night Courier Guy... a.a.k.a. "The Bassologist formerly known as Parté")
I believe united we stand. Black, brown, red, yellow, white... We're all of one race: HUMAN! ALL LIVES MATTER! I don't say that to denigrate the "Black Lives Matter" movement. It is very discouraging to hear people that don't really believe all lives matter are saying "all lives matter" as a retort to "Black Lives Matter". That's being disingenuous. All lives really do matter!!! (Yeah, even the hateful dumb-asses that have no respect or don't believe others' lives matter.) So how about showing a little brotherly love all you good Christian citizens out there. Is that really so much to ask? (Sorry... I did say I'm old. I forgot to mention cranky.)

Definitely an Hatton Garden inspiration here.
A little too real at the end for an old guy like me.
I wanted to watch this first. Now on to Outrageous Fortune. I hope I did it right.

Rocky & Bullwinkle - Jet Fuel (2) - Bullwinkle's Ride or Goodbye, Dollink
Like so many old shows, this is going to be hard to keep track of. They're using segment names as episode titles. Already, episode 2 Fractured Fairy Tales - Rapunzel is wrong. That was in episode 1. Fractured Fairytales in ep.2 is Puss & Boots. Episode 2 sounds more like what they're showing for ep. 5. Wkipedia seems to be going by the main storys chapters so, 2 per episode? Hopefully the downloads I've got are in order.

Well, it was a little crazy at the end but, an enjoyable series. Too bad it's done.
I've seen critics call Barry a copycat of Dexter. I don't know what they were watching. I don't think they did. They must have just read a synopsis. I've seen all episodes of both series and the comparisons are minimal at best. Barry is an insane, bad coincidence laden, journey down a dark winding road. It had me thinking "oh no" so many times at its circumstances and the decisions made by most of the characters. It was a great, imaginative show not to be compared to anything else.
