yep very much so, i was thinking they arent too far in the future as well, since we saw Bernard die outside from the Radiation exposure still present, maybe thats why the Pact states 500 years, for the fallout and radiation to die out, also Silo 1 using possibly a Human now for the AI.. the flashbacks definitely serve for the purpose of how things got to where they are..
