Yeah, I'll tune in for (as yet unannounced, or I may be wrong) Season 2 as I love the Alien franchise and live in eternal hope.
But another big issue in today's world is the massive gaps between TV show seasons.
I mean, we may be into 2027 before we see any more of this show...in fact I'd be shocked if that were not at least the case.

Finally the titular Alien itself - a mockery of what Ridley Scott and James Cameron gave us.

I think I've worked out the major (among multiple) issues with this show - the characters all have their Drama setting dialed up to 11.  Nobody talks like normal or behaves like normal, as they are all just screaming, wailing and shouting at each other non-stop.  Except for Rhames but then he's class and I dunno why he's involved with this mess.
Manny is the worst character I've seen in a while - a wailing, sobbing, pathetic mess.  Zero redeeming qualities, and when one of your main characters is so unwatchable, the show will properly suffer and does.
OK, two more eps to go....lucky me.
