Their milking the plot, and completely off course from the original material.  Delaying us finding out about the purpose of the thingie for an entire second season?  No thanks, I'll just make something up in my head and move on.

Too many humans, monsters take backseat.  I give it 1 garbage pile out of 100.  Shin Godzilla, Godzilla Minus One, that is the way.  EDIT: also their going the way of disney and star wars or MCU.  Fear the future of this garbage pile, it will only get worse.
