I do believe they met after Fred escaped Pylea, not 100% on that though.

Each episode has been two stories, kind of a double episode each time.

Episode one contains stories (episodes) 1 and 2, episode 3 = 5 and 6 and so on. If you've watched the show, surely you've noticed the story titles?
