They did alternate realities in Supernatural, with different versions of the characters.

A fitting ending would have been homelander living out his life as a normie, and being spat on by everyone.

Yeah, and he changed the ending afterwards. I'd like to see the original one...

I don't think this was going to be the original ending, but kripke felt forced by trump's re-election to use homelander as his stand-in, and to vent all his frustrations into this (what felt to me), rushed ending.

PS I'm not a trump fan, i despise the fucker.
