Dorothy 'Dotty' West

Dotty is Amanda's mother who looks after the children. Dotty and Amanda bicker as often as L'Waxana and Deanna from Star Trek. She walks or takes public transportation, but takes driving lessons. She also goes to flight school for her pilot license. Dotty eventually wises up to Amanda's job as the entire family is dragged in the life of espionage. They start by going to the stage rehearsals. She also encounters somebody from royalty at an innocent yard sale, and in a later episode she falls in love with a wanted man. When she is captured, they are able to free themselves from the enemies. By the end of the series, she functions as an apprentice just as Amanda did.
