Sonny "Rehab" Silversteen is a consummate musician. Nicknamed by Johnny after nine trips to five different rehabilitation centers, he no longer drinks or uses drugs. Not counting prescription drugs. Which he needs. A lot. Every day. Because his is a busy musical mind. Does he dig rock-n-roll? Yes. But he digs it deeper than most. Rehab has expanded his musical horizons by studying classical, bebop, tribal, world, hip-hop and electronic beats. He has written serious pieces that set him apart from what he sees as all the other run-of-the-mill rock bass players. His latest masterpiece is called "An Gorta Mor" - a song cycle about the Great Irish Potato Famine of the 1840's, consisting of 29 songs that document the misery and repression through which a generation of Irish people were forced to suffer. His dream is to bring "An Gorta Mor" to Broadway with a classically trained and well-respected operatic Irish tenor like Ronan Tynan singing the lead role. Or Liam Neeson. Rehab really dug him in the Taken trilogy.
