Stephen Quayne

A member of the New Orleans Board of Governors, Quayne investigated counterfeiting during the Civil War. When the Southerners tried to floor the North with counterfeit money, Quayne took the plates, manufactured his own phony money, and tries to use it as poker stakes to get real money in return. Yancy saw through his scheme and the Secret Service took Quayne into custody.
