A gorilla patrol spots the fugitives heading cross-country and prepares an ambush. When the trio gets close enough, the soldiers open fire. One shot hits Alan, and Pete carries him to safety with Galen leading the way. The soldiers ride over and Galen finds a cave to hide in.
