After Rumple's mother learns from his fairy godmother that his destiny is prophesied, she does everything in her power to keep it from happening. Meanwhile, in Storybrooke, Rumple faces a similar dilemma.

Many Years Ago... Two fairies fly to where a woman, Fiona, is giving birth as her husband Malcolm holds her hand. As the baby is delivered, the candles briefly blow out and then light up again.
