9th July 1984 Stefan Butler wakes up, goes to the bathroom, takes his pills, and leaves his room. His father Peter is coming out of his room and suggests that they have breakfast, and Stefan agrees. Over breakfast, Stefan reads a book, Bandersnatch, and tells Peter that he's meeting later with Colin Ritman.
