Tina Fey Will Weather 'The Four Seasons' in New Comedy Series

Tina Fey will be your girl for all seasons in a new series adaptation of the 1981 rom-com The Four Seasons. Fey is teaming up with longtime collaborators Lang Fisher and Tracey Wigfield to write the comedy, with Fey set to star.

The film — which was written and directed by Alan Alda and stars Alda, Carol Burnett, and Rita Moreno — follows three couples who vacation together every season but whose worlds are upended when one of them divorces. No, it has nothing to do with the Grease 2 song, but it does, in fact, use Vivaldi’s composition of the same name.

Netflix has ordered eight episodes of the series, which is produced by Universal Television and will begin filming later in 2024.

The comedy dream team of Fey, Fisher, and Wigfield first worked together on the final season of 30 Rock. Each have subsequently launched hit series — Fey’s Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt ran for four seasons and an interactive movie, while Season 3 of Girls5eva (created by Meredith Scardino and produced by Fey) debuts on Netflix in March; Fisher’s Never Have I Ever ended last year after four seasons on Netflix; and Wigfield’s Great News and Saved By the Bell both ran for multiple seasons.

The Four Seasons is executive produced by Fey, Fisher, Wigfield, David Miner, Eric Gurian, and Jeff Richmond. Alda and Marissa Bregman will produce.
