Just over a month after its significantly improved second season launched on Netflix, the streaming service has delivered a knockout cancellation punch to Marvel’s Iron Fist. “Marvel’s Iron Fist will not return for a third season on Netflix,” said the Disney-owned comic giant and the streamer in a joint statement to Deadline today.

Can’t say that this was a surprise, but I genuinely loved the entire run. It was a bit esoteric and probably got negatively affected by the release schedule (it was definitely the weakest of the four, I personally would’ve premiered it earlier; no idea exactly where in the rotation, but definitely not after three home runs - especially if I knew what The Defenders was going to be) .... still, I liked it a lot but anyone with their ear to the ground should have seen this coming a mile away. Hopefully Finn will still be around the MCU (Heroes for Hire was actually created under exactly these circumstances)
I think they lost a lot of viewers with that horrendous first season. Although the second season was actually way better you can't expect people who didn't like the first season to tune in to it. I think it's sad that they cancelled it, they where on the right track with season 2.
That's a shame.
