Born in Annapolis, Maryland, Michele Carey was a piano prodigy at an early age, eventually becoming a model and actress. Her first acting role was in a 1964 episode of The Man from U.N.C.L.E., followed by minor roles in films The Spy with My Face, and How to Stuff a Wild Bikini. Her best known film role was as Josephine 'Joey' MacDonaldin the 1966 John Wayne western El Dorado.
Michele Carey died of natural causes at the age of 76.
