Carey Lowell

Born in Huntington, New York Carey Lowell, daughter of distinguished geologist James Lowell, grew up all around the world before her family settled in Denver when she was 12. She attended the University of Colorado for a year before moving to New York City to pursue a modeling career. She obtained a major in literature at New York University before taking an interest in acting, making her acting debut with a small role in the 1986 comedy Club Paradise. She first appeared on the small screen in the 1991 made-for-TV movie Road to Ruin before  landing the role of Dottie Hinson in the 1993 television series A League of Their Own.
