Abby McEnany was born circa 1968 and grew up on or near the East Coast before moving to San Francisco as a young teen for her dad's job, and then to Chicago for college in 1986. She is a longstanding member of the Chicago improv scene, and she's been especially active with an all-women ensemble called Virgin Daiquiri, where her castmates over the years have included Aidy Bryant and Cecily Strong.
