Fred Curtis Lewis spent fourteen years in the military as a Green Beret and Special Forces Medic, surviving through the unimaginable in places very few people dare venture - Africa, Korea, Iraq and Afghanistan.
Having proved his worth in PNG on Gold Rush: Parker's Trail and at Parker's claim, Parker trusts Fred with his life.
Having spent the last season working in Parker's gold room on Gold Rush, Fred's mining knowledge is getting better and his enthusiasm for metal detecting will see him getting more and more interested in gold – yep he gets gold fever!
In 2021, Fred decided to start his own mining operation in the wilds of northeast Oregon. He brought in fellow military veterans to be part of his team. This operation is featured in season 11 of Gold Rush.
