Adam Rayner is a British and American actor. He was born Adam Chance Abbs Rayner on 28 August 1977 in Shrewsbury, Shropshire, England but grew up near Norwich in Norfolk. Rayner's mother is American and father is English, and he holds a dual citizenship of the United Kingdom and the United States. The family lived in the United States when he was a child, albeit briefly, before returning to East Anglia. Rayner studied at Durham University, and whilst there became a member of one of the university's drama groups. After graduation he completed a two-year acting course at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA) before beginning his career on the London stage.
Rayner is best known for his television roles including Dominic Montgomery in Mistresses (2008-2010), Dr. Steve Shaw in Hawthorne (2010-2011), Aidan Marsh in Hunted (2012), Bassam "Barry" Al-Fayeed in Tyrant (2014-2016), Matthew Collier in The Fix (2019), and Morgan Edge / Tal-Rho in Superman & Lois (2021-2022).
