Born in Omaha, Nebraska, Jaime King began her modeling career at the age of 14, taking up the stage name James. Struggling with a heroin addiction into her late teens, she successfully completed rehab after her boyfriend died from an overdose in 1997. In 1999, she began her acting career in the role of Pixel in the film Happy Campers, which was screened at the Sundance Film Festival in 2001.
