Born in San Leandro, California, Lloyd Bridges made his debut in 1935 in uncredited roles in the 1935 film Freshman Love, followed by the 1936 film Dancing Feet. His first credited role was in the 1941 film The Lone Wolf Takes a Chance. His notable roles include that of Deputy Marshal Harvey Pell in the 1952 film High Noon, Mike Nelson in the 1957 series Sea Hunt, and air traffic controller Steve McCroskey in the 1982 comedy Airplane!
Lloyd Bridges died of natural causes at age at age 85.
