Jessica Simpson

Jessica Simpson is an American singer/actress, and was born on July 10, 1980 in Abilene, Texas. Simpson burst onto the scene in the late 1990's with her successful debut album Sweet Kisses. On the tour for the album, she met 98 Degrees member Nick Lachey. The two began dating and would eventually marry in 2002. This led to the MTV reality series Newlyweds. The show became well known for making Jessica look dumb, and she would later claim that it was all an act for the cameras. Both say that the stress of the production led directly to their 2005 divorce. Simpson made her film debut in the comedy The Dukes Of Hazzard. Most critics agree that her bikini-clad portrayal of Daisy Duke was the only memorable aspect. She then went on to star in the romantic comedies Employee Of the Month with Dane Cook, and the infamous Blond Ambition opposite Luke Wilson. Seeing her acting career stalling, Jessica returned to music, this time as a country artist.
