Capt. Benson’s team is down another staffer: Molly Burnett, who plays Det. Grace Muncy, is no longer a series regular on Law & Order: SVU, TVLine has learned.
Continuing its association with one of the most prolific producers in television history, NBC has renewed all six of its Dick Wolf-produced scripted series – "Chicago Med", "Chicago Fire", "Chicago P.D.", "Law & Order", "Law & Order: Organized Crime" and "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" – for the 2023-2024 season. All of the shows, which are produced by Universal Television in association with Wolf Entertainment, stream next day on Peacock.
NBC has given three-year pickups to its “Chicago” brand – “Chicago Fire,” “Chicago P.D.” and “Chicago Med” – as well as fan favorite and record-breaker “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.
“Law & Order: SVU” is set to become the longest-running primetime live-action series in TV history.
NBC has announced it is renewing the show for a 21st season, meaning “SVU” will overtake the 20-season record it previously shared with the original “Law & Order” and the legendary CBS Western “Gunsmoke.” It now trails only “The Simpsons” in the longest-running shows of all time rankings.
