The very, very first episode of the "Fugitive" which aired in 1963 (which I watched) was actually entitled "The Girl From Little Egypt." This is not it. The original had Dr. Kimble (Dr. Sam Sheppard) at a party where he met "The girl from little Egypt", (Susan Hayes from Medina, Ohio), gave her a lift home, then circled down toward his home where he nearly ran down the one-armed man. What has happened to that original episode and why have they switched titles and story around? Was it too close to reality? Does CBS now own exclusive rights to that episode? How can we see the original?
