To be honest, I live in Canada where we have free healthcare (not complaining here). This tv series throws a big spotlight at medical staffs and what they have to endure on their day to day...and rude people! Whether it's "free healthcare" or not, both systems are affected the same.
I hope this series is getting good ratings and viewership because this is probably my favorite TV series of the year (past year as well). I like medical dramas but not really when they leave the ER and go outside and delve into the characters personal relationships with each other. This series has the perfect balance so far and the special effects...I mean, that looked like a real birth...did some research, and "Autonomous FX" created the baby scene (as well as prior degloved foot & the most recent burn victim). This has the right mix of drama, intensity and emotion.
That may be the highlight of the season!
