Just 3 episodes back Stephen talked how Paramount settled a 16 million completley-without-merit lawsuit-bribe in order to sell the network to Skydance (belongs to Trump supporting family). And once Skydance gets CBS, the new owners' desire to please Trump could put pressure on frequent Trump critic Stephen Colbert. And now they cancelled. Maybe preemptively just to grease the wheels of merger CBS cancels the show that had been #1 in late night for nine straight seasons and yet somehow "was losing money" with "no apparent path to turning around its financial position" - my ass.
