Claire Simpson

Claire is the lonely and bored wife of a company executive who is regularly away from Singapore on extended business trips. When he is home, Frank Simpson tries to be attentive, but he is also very dedicated to his job.
Claire is intelligent and is interested in this challenging city and its Asian neighbours. She wants to explore and experience the real life of this exotic new environment. She is curious, observant, and seeks conversations that don't always revolve around the staff problems of the ex-pats at the Singapore Cricket Club.
As a result, Claire falls into a discreet but passionate affair with Sam Callaghan. The only difficulty being that, for her sake, they have to be careful in the small, watchful and gossipy world of the ex-pat community. However, what started as a convenient affair for both of them takes a turn towards something a little more complicated.
