The original trilogy was written between 1951-1953.
I've heard so too, but the reason for this was Isaac did write these books in the 80's so it was heavily male-dominated for the characters. I'm not a writer much, or for TV but an avid reader so I'd argue for those who do the writing that it's very difficult to adapt source material 100% for TV since actors, scenes etc need to be crafted visually and built on from the existing books.
Isaac's daughter is on the production team so it definitely is staying true to what he would have wanted but again, it's a complex system to navigate or speculate on since I've never worked in the media industry. As for the adaptation, I've read different accounts of many people but I'd say at the end of the day if you enjoy it, that's what matters. :)
i havnt read the books but i hear people who do say they stray so far from the books since the beginning of the series.
BEST EPISODE EVER
Keeps getting better and better, the twists and arcs are getting so good. I think it's time to get the books! Isaac is, was and always be the greatest SciFi writer of our known time. 10/10 Episode!
