God Friended Me co-star Javicia Leslie has been cast as the new Batwoman, succeeding Ruby Rose who exited the role after the end of Season 1. Leslie, confirmed to play a new character named Ryan Wilder, will make her debut in the iconic cape and cowl when Batwoman returns to the CW for its second season in January.

I always thought Rose's acting and Kate as a character were the weakest aspects of the show. And bonus, no more time wasted on attempts to rekindle a high school fling(not the most annoying tv trope but definitely in my top 5).
So i'm really looking forward to see what they come up with.
Should be interesting. I'm curious how they'll write the character of Ryan and Kate's apparent disappearance into the storyline.
