Based on the DC character of the same name, “Black Lightning” centers around Jefferson Pierce (Cress Williams), a high school principal who is forced to don his superhero suit once again after years of retirement when a local gang arises and recruits one of his star students. CW likes to chase the older teen/young adult demographic. But all the shows you mentioned are practically unwatchable for anyone older or especially mentally older. The demographic is aging away from the constant y/a drama queen plots. If they did what Harry Potter series did. "Write up" to a higher level with every few seasons they would probably end up with hits that stood the test of time as Potter series did.
I was a great run!
I think CW is axing this iteration of Arrowverse.
Supergirl and Black Lightning are done, Batwoman is probably next. I think Flash is one season away from dropping below 0.3, and Legends are already dropped to 0.22, and they're way too expensive for a summer show, so the next season will probably be the last for both.
