UPDATE: as of 6/8/23 - on Amazon, it's only for purchase. FutonCritic 1/30/23: "...slated to be removed from the pay channel's streaming service in the wake of today's announcement of Showtime being integrated into Paramount+ later this year."; misc tweets indicate season 2 filming wrapped in late April'23.

via Futon Critic: Amazon Press Release: [06/09/22] Amazon Freevee Picks Up Second Season of "American Rust". Quick search results seem to indicate filming started in late Nov 2022; As of Jan 6'23, season one is still avail on Amazon but with Showtime channel subscription.
