Tre is an animal lover and a lifelong pet owner. With time to dedicate Tre decided to start fighting for animal rights and welfare by becoming an Animal Cruelty Investigator for the Toronto Humane Society. Tre quickly rose up the ranks becoming the Lead Investigator and overseeing all Cruelty Investigations in the City of Toronto. In August 2007, Tre made national headlines when he smashed open the window of a locked car to rescue a dog that was in imminent danger of dying from heat exhaustion. Smith arrested and charged the dog's owner with Animal Cruelty under the Criminal Code of Canada. The accused plead guilty and Tre became a hero to animal rights activists across Canada.
Tre is a married father of two and lives in Toronto.
