New York NY, March 16, 2021 – AMC Networks announced today that production of the fourth and final season of the popular and critically acclaimed series Killing Eve is scheduled to begin early this summer, filming in the U.K. and locations across Europe, with the eight-episode season to premiere next year. The company is working with partner Sid Gentle Films Ltd. to develop a number of potential spinoff ideas to extend the show’s iconic universe.

AMC has announced it is moving up the season 3 premiere by two weeks. The acclaimed Sandra Oh and Jodie Comer series will now debut its third season on Sunday, April 12. The move comes as networks, cablers and streamers all contend with the programming and scheduling nightmare being caused by the coronavirus pandemic.

“Killing Eve” has been picked up for a third season with a new showrunner. Suzanne Heathcote will helm the third season of the critically-acclaimed series, taking over from Emerald Fennell. The announcement was made at the AMC Networks summit in New York on Monday by Sarah Barnett, president of entertainment networks for AMC.

BBC America’s breakout drama series Killing Eve is expanding its cast for Season 2, adding Nina Sosanya (Good Omens) and Edward Bluemel (A Discovery of Witches) alongside series stars Sandra Oh (Grey’s Anatomy), Jodie Comer (The White Princess) and Fiona Shaw (Harry Potter).
