At the start of series one, JP considers himself an overlord raging hard amongst the underdogs. He's a public schoolboy from a privileged background and, when the group first meet him, they aren't exactly taken by his superior attitude. But, as the year progresses, JP reveals a more sensitive side to his personality – and shares some of his insecurities too. After his father dies and his mother sells the family home, JP buys the student house that he and his friends live in so they can stick together.
