Basilio is a writer. He is loving, kind, intellectually brilliant, a great communicator, and an unrivaled father and partner. When he was young, he had great success with his first novel, but 20 years have gone by and Basilio has not succeeded professionally again. However, he has run out of excuses, and must write again. Thanks to Lucía, his sponsor, he is free from previous jobs, as she financially supports the family. But Basilio is not holding up his end as he is not making any progress with the novel. Feeling like he is running out of time, the embarrassment leads him to lie about its progress.
