Mr Honeyfoot, of the York Society of Magicians, is a pleasant gentleman in middle-age, whose many interests include clouds, folktales, dogs, and magic. His dearest friend is Mr Segundus, and after the York Society is disbanded, the two of them embark upon a new and ultimately very useful scheme. They purchase a property called Starecross Hall, formerly The Shadow House of Miss Absalom the Enchantress: a mysterious, magical place whose ancient walls will witness some very surprising and terrible things as the battle for English Magic is joined.
Mr Honeyfoot is an unlikely-looking hero, but when called upon, he is a hero indeed. And most enterprising when it comes to finding new uses for walnuts.
