Christine Reade is a law student at Chicago-Burnham Law School and an intern at Kirkland & Allen, a prestigious law firm. Christine becomes intrigued when a friend introduces her to the world of transactional relationships. Attracted to the rush of control and intimacy, Christine has to confront her own conflicting identities, but she quickly learns to navigate and manipulate the politics of both worlds to get what she wants.
