The wife of Hobbamock and mother of Wematin. She overcame language and cultural barriers to forge a friendship with Pilgrim Elizabeth Hopkins. After the Pilgrims received a dubious warning, Hobbamock's wife was sent to determine whether Massasoit was indeed conspiring against Plymouth. Though here she is named Kaya, her real name was not documented by the Pilgrims.
