Paulina Martinez is a sweet girl who Paola Bracho found and forced to trade her place while she goes away from her family. During that time Paulina takes place at Bracho estate and needs to pretend she is ill-hearted Paola. However, she falls in love with Paola's husband, Carlos Daniel, and he falls in love with her seeing how she is kind and complete opposite from Paola. Both Paulina, who is a lead cast, and evil Paola, who starts to appear more prominently much later in the series, are played by Gabriela Spanic.
