Daisy's beautiful younger sister Chloe is nearly perfect. She's smart – holds two master's degrees, one in Public Policy the other in History – and she's compassionate. Unlike her undisciplined sister, Chloe is cool, sensible and balanced, but they agree on one thing – they both hunger for a better world. As Senior Aide in the Attorney General's office, Chloe just may be in a position to do some real good.
Chloe's boss, Attorney General Sam Charles, took note of her intelligence and innovative ideas and brought her into his inner circle, but as the cliché goes, it wasn't long before they embarked on an affair. They're keeping it secret because it could cost them dearly.
Chloe's general reserve is in marked contrast to Daisy's constant acting out. When things get tough, Chloe retreats inside herself. Her struggles, besides being Daisy's crutch, are coping with their brain-damaged father and her unwanted role as family peacekeeper. God knows, Daisy's no help.
It's all too much, but there is comfort in Sam's arms.
