Ruth

Partner to Rollie, Ruth is a beacon of positivity who believes that deep down, everything is pretty dang great. Ruth believes in all of Cavendish's local superstitions – she doesn't need to "see" the Beast to know it's out there, lurking, waiting to attack unless offered the appropriate combination of meat scraps and milk. Technically, Ruth is a "witch", but only inasmuch as she's part of a coven that meets regularly to plan for the solstice. Mostly, she just likes spending time with people – even someone as standoffish as Rollie, who she's sort of dating but maybe not? It's complicated, but Ruth thinks everything happens for a reason. Sometimes you just need to wait. Other times, you need to get a group of nice ladies to draw a pentagram around a snake and see what happens. It depends on what you need.
