John DeLancie's Q is a supernatural deity that belongs to a society that uses only the name Q all the time. They rarely take any other names. He appears mostly solo, as his actions are not approved by The Q Continuum. He introduces himself, not unlike Trelane, mocking and ridiculing Humans. He also says they have a lot of nerve to be colonizing space and spreading their evil. However, Jean-Luc sees that Q is irrelevant, nothing more than a swindler. The Q Continuum did not approve of him recruiting Riker and exiled both of them. When Picard denied John DeLancie's Q asylum, he thrust them in the path of The Borg. He loathes Guinan and wants to kill her. The Q Continuum had enough and so he became disenchanted. Guinan waited for a long time to stab him. Beverly and Worf were not pleased with him either. John DeLancie's Q had a change of heart, but was at odds with The Q Continuum yet again be cause he recruited yet another person, Vash. He was also sent to investigate some rogue Q that decided to masquerade as humans. He also told Picard more than once to get a hold of him self. He was shooed away by Benjamin Sisko. He sent the U.S.S. Voyager part of the way home as a reward for stopping a Civil War in The Q Continuum.
