Doctor Katherine Pulaski is portrayed by Diana Muldaur, who is familiar with the roles of Doctors of Star Trek. Her characters are very stern, even cringe worthy, yet beautiful. She is annoyed by Data and hates how perfect he is. Towards the end of her tour of duty, she changes her mind about Data after seeing that he imitated her insults. After hearing him tell her that he is not worthy of being a Star Fleet Officer due to making a terrible mistake, she goes to Jean-Luc to remedy the situation. Unfortunately, Pulaski and Data are unable to continue their new friendship, as there were numerous production problems that prevented the season from lasting a full 26 episodes. Beverly returned; Apparently they traded places. Pulaski, a mad scientist, is well known for erasing people's memories. She is highly supportive of Worf's celebrations. Katherine also knows and loves Will Riker's father, much to Will's annoyance. Pulaski is seen as only a Chief Medical Officer and not a Bridge Officer.
